I’m a cinematographer working across high-end factual, drama-doc, commercial and branded content, shaping visual stories that balance cinematic craft with real human authenticity. My work spans major award-winning productions for BBC Studios, Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+.

 

My focus is on creating striking, atmospheric images that elevate real-world stories. I’m especially interested in projects that push technical and creative boundaries — from integrating natural history cinematography with ground-breaking VFX on Prehistoric Planet to exploring emerging AI tools that open up new visual possibilities on recent short form projects.

Documentary

My documentary work spans landmark, award-winning documentaries and series, bringing a cinematic visual approach to factual storytelling. Recent credits include Prehistoric Planet and A Real Bug’s Life. My work as one of the cinematographers on an episode of A Real Bug’s Life was recognised with the Wildscreen Panda Award for Cinematography and an Emmy nomination. Across my documentary work, I focus on authentic storytelling, applying cinematic techniques in a way that supports truth, scale and emotional clarity.

Drama

My background in drama filmmaking has shaped a narrative and cinematic sensitivity in my work. In recent years, this has led me increasingly into the drama-documentary space, working on reconstructions and scripted sequences alongside straight drama. Alongside this, I’ve shot festival-screened short films and a wide range of scripted drama within commercial and corporate filmmaking, with close collaboration with actors and on-screen talent central to my approach. Across all of this work, cinematic craft and factual storytelling sit naturally alongside one another.

Commercial/short form

My commercial and short-form work centres on working with real people and capturing authentic performances, brought to life through a cinematic visual approach. I’ve shot internationally for brands including Dove, Nestlé, Audi, EE, Royal Mail, Garnier and Swarovski. My work has been featured in Ad Age, TIME, AdWeek, Creativity, InStyle, The Huffington Post and The Guardian, with projects shortlisted for the ADCAN Awards.
